Petula

Introducing Petula, pick up girl of the 2020 Marvel litter and part of our fourth generation.

I decided to go back to some basis here and ask our good friends Marie-Elise and Claude to do the final assessment of this litter, they also did the 2005 David Bowie, the 2007 Great European Castles and the 2008 King Arthur ones.

This time I've decided to go with a pedigree I knew well. The dogs involved there are awesome ones. I've been following Casey's pictures and progress over the years and had to ask Judy Byers, of Inglis kennel, to use him with my Blanche. I was really happy when she gave me the necessary ok! Inglis kennel is part of our history. Happy, the mother of our foundation girl, Nova, was from that kennel based in Saskatoon (Saskatchewan).

On July 12 2022, Avril Petula was also in heat. No blood trail, nothing. Few minutes after, well ... this happened, a long 30 minutes tie, thanks to César. After being in denial for a few weeks, the inevitable was in front of me, Petula was indeed pregnant! She delivered 12 puppies on September 13, tying Holly's record from the 2013 'Robin Hood' litter. Quite an experience for a young girl like her but she did it perfectly! I'm really proud of her.

Petula earned a major toward her Canadian Championship at the SD&G show in August 2023.
