Avril

Avril was born on April 19 2018, part of the 'Peter Pan' litter. This litter was the first one from our fourth generation and it meant a lot to me.

Like I explained on the 'Peter Pan' litter's page, I was looking to introduce 'new blood' into my breeding program and the breeding between Cosmo and Blanche gave Knightcastle exactly the needed extra boost. I simply fell in love with Cosmo, the perfect match for her. Avril is the result of a lot of work by all the breeders involved.

It was really hard to select a girl from this litter and after weeks of debate with myself, I felt that the blue collar girl was going to stay here. She is very well balanced, has a good drive and is crazy about duck wings.

At nine weeks old, Avril was already swimming in the lake with the others! At the end of her first summer (2018), she was diving in the lake from the dock. She's a natural!

With the arrival of César in the pack in February 2019, I realized how much easy it was to raise her. She's playful but, a bit like her grand-father Forrest, everything she does she does it well.

Avril received all her OFA clearance in February 2021 and she is officially in Knightcastle's breeding program now. She was bred to Bentley (BISS GCH DueNorth Spring Loaded) in November 2021 for the 'Spring' litter. On January 16 2022, Avril delivered 8 puppies, 2 males and 6 females! That was the beginning of out fitfh generation. I kept the little 'pink' girl and her name is 'Macha'. Plan is to go back using some European bloodline for her second and last litter, around 2024-25

I absolutely adore her! She is smart, active and always looking for something fun to do, one of my lifetume favorite dogs for sure!
